Ambili Devi makes a comeback on TV
The silver screen is yet to call her back but Ambili Devi has returned to the mini screen through the show Sishu Samrakshanam, which, as the title suggests, is about how to look after your child. Now mother to 10-month-old AmarÂnath, Ambili says that it was her own doubts and questions that made her decide to come back to the mini screen.
Explaining at length, Ambili says, “Every mother has their doubts about how to look after their child; it could be basic questions like how to bathe, feed or care for the child! A doctor cannot be expected to answer all the questions because each mother has a different set of fears and worries. This programme will set to free mothers from their doubts and give them a well-rounded view of looking after their child.”
Ambili has done an episode that deals with the sleeping habits of the babies and each episode of the show tackles a different problem. Ambili mentions that she herself got to know about the amount of time a baby should sleep and the right sleep posture. She confesses that through the episode, she herself cleared a lot of her doubts regarding her baby.
Ambili had been active on the mini screen, anchoring for up-to seven months of her pregnancy before having her child and that too only because travel became difficult for her. She has also signed on for a television serial, the pilot of which has been approved. Asked about making a comeback in films, she says, “Yes I do want to get back to films, but will do so later.” Sishu SamrakshaÂnam will be aired on Surya TV every Saturday from 12 to 12.30 pm.
