Palamaner, Chittor district: YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy made interesting remarks of rechristening the state of Andhra Pradesh as the state of Telangana.
Addressing a public meeting at Byreddi Palle on Monday, the YSRC chief strongly objected the move to form ‘Rayala Telangana’ by merging Kurnool and Anantapur districts which are under the Rayalaseema region into Telangana.

Reddy questioned the necessity for the merger of the two Rayalaseema districts into Telangana when crores of people of the Seemandhra region are voicing strong support for Samaikhyandhra.
Reddy said if the rulers want to pacify separatists, then the very name of Andhra Pradesh could well be rechristened as Telangana.
