'Prema Ishq Kadal' Review: A complete time pass movie!
Cast: Harshvardhan Rane, Vishnu Vardhan, Harish Varma, Vithika Sheru, Ritu Varma and Sree Mukhi
Director: Pavan Sadineni
Rating: Two and a half stars
This year, we have already seen some of the young debutant directors coming up with simple subjects and tasting success. Last week we saw 'Venkatadri Express', and this week another director Pavan Sadineni has come up with 'Prema Ishq Kadal'.
The story is about three youngsters and their loves. Randy (Harshvardhan Rane) is a singer and runs a coffee shop. Sarayu (Vithika Sheru) is a college student and works for an orphanage. She falls in love with Randy and asks him to perform in her college… but things are not all well.
In another story arc, an RJ named Arjun (Harish Varma), who is a playboy, falls in love with a software engineer Shanti (Sree Mukhi). Initially she rejects his love because of his attitude, but Arjun changes himself for her love. When everything seems to be going well, a sudden incident forces them to have second thoughts about their relationship.
In the third story, Royal Raju (Vishnu), a young man from a village, comes to Hyderabad for a job. His friend works as an assistant director, and Raju too gets a job in the same film. He falls in love with the costume designer Sameera (Ritu Varma). She is a broad-minded girl, and their love story too gets into trouble. How the three love stories end makes up the crux of the movie.
Although there is nothing new in the subject, the director comes up with an interesting climax. The director must be given full marks, as he keeps the film interesting in the second half, though the first half is a little bit boring.
Shravan’s music and Karthik Ghattamaneni’s cinematography are the highlights of the film.
Though most of the artistes are new, except Harshavardhan Rane, they have done a neat job. Harsha has done a decent job, but he has to work on his expressions, as his expressions are the same for all emotions. Harish Varma, who plays the RJ, too has done a good job. But it is Vishnu who steals the show. His energetic performance and the way he portrays a boy from a village is perfect. Of the three girls, Ritu Varma has done a good job. Sri Mukhi and Vithika are just about okay.
It’s a time-pass movie!
