Hyderabad Luxury Expo opens to a gobsmacked crowd as...

The second edition of The Indian Luxury Expo, which opened at JRC Convention on Friday, sure left Hyderabadis stunned.

IG Anjana Singh, who dropped in at the expo, was heard saying “If only I could afford” quite a few times as she looked around the cars parked at the venue. She did like some jewellery on display but again, the wise investor that she is, wanted to do the maths before swiping the cards.

But cars were definitely the highlight at the expo, with the F-type Jaguar, worth Rs 1.95 crore, making its big Hyderabadi debut. The white beauty stood next to an the all black new Range Rover Sport, at the stall by Jaguar-Land Rover dealers, Inline 4 Motors. Also, adventure junkies were in for a surprise as they got to know that a 200cc ATV by Polaris was up for a lucky draw and many submitted Rs 500 vouchers, keeping fingers crossed.

Another first at the expo was the Setu Lounge by Asana Living. It is a line of furniture that mimics yoga postures and supports the contours of the body. And since luxury comes at a price, these furniture items range from Rs 35,000 to Rs 1 lakh. Then, a TV ensemble by Elevate — a mobile panel fitted with a 46-inch TV was a talking point. A tree showpiece worth Rs 10 lakh was the point of curiosity. It is part of a limited edition and is just one of six pieces available in the world.
