Models, Tollywood junior artiste, rescued from sex racket in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The police busted a high profile sex racket at Banjara Hills on Monday night and rescued a Tollywood junior artiste, two Kolkata-based models and a Hyderabadi model.

Two pimps, who had been running the racket for the last eight months, were also arrested. Purnachandra Rao and his associate Suresh, had been providing “the service” to high class customers, the police said. On a tip off, officials of the Commissioner’s Task force, West Zone, raided a flat at Laxmi Nagar and found the junior artiste and the models.

The pimps were also caught. West Zone Task Force inspector S. Ramachandra Reddy, said Purnachandra Rao, who is a resident of Manikonda, had started the racket eight months ago and had been running it for known customers.

“The customers are affluent who pay huge sums,” he said. Rao’s aide Suresh also helped him safeguard the brothel and secure customers. Rao would show photographs of the models to potential customers and would ensure that the information did not go beyond trusted customers. He had thus dodged the police for the last eight months.

Cops seized five cell phones and money from the accused. The two were handed over to the local police station while the three women, aged between 19 and 26, were sent to rescue homes.
