Sania Mirza reveals her fun side on 'Comedy Nights With Kapil'
On Sunday night, Sania Mirza made an appearance on the TV show 'Comedy Nights with Kapil'. Looking stunning in a peach coloured gown, the tennis star spoke about her tennis academy, husband Shoaib Malik and how she always supports Team India during a cricket match.
When Kapil spoke about Sania’s marriage to Shoaib, he said, “Jo aaj tak kisi politician nahi kar paya woh Sania ne kar dikhaya” (What a politician could not do, Sania did it). He then congratulated Sania for all her achievements and said, “Sania ne records banaye and Shoaib ne ek hi baar mai poore records apne naam kar diye” (Sania has so many records to her credit and in one go Shoaib turned those to his name). However, Sania just smiled and chose not to react to any of this.
Later, when Kapil’s on-screen wife Manju asked Sania if Shoaib also behaves rudely like Kapil does with her, Sania’s quick reply was, “Aise baat karenge toh wapas na bhejdun mai unko” (If he talks to me this way, I would send him back).”
After her marriage to the Pakistani cricketer, the question on everyone’s mind has been whether Sania cheers for India or her husband’s team during a cricket match between the two countries. When someone from the audience quizzed her about this, she replied saying that it’s very obvious that she cheers for India. Then, she added, “Mere bande ko 50-100 banalene do lekin match toh India hi jeetna chahiye.”
Sania also enacted the famous introductory lines by Gutthi. She also hinted at being open to films, when she replied to a question about whether she has any Bollywood plans, by saying, “Never say never. But I think I am too shy to act like they do in movies.”
