Nokia X family launched
Nokia has finally launched its first Android smartphone in the market—the X family, which include Nokia X, X+ and XL. the X family will be priced between the existing Asha and Lumia series.
The X family boasts of Nokia’s existing build quality, design, hardware and a range of bright exteriors. The new, tile-based home screen is designed to offer a simple way to manage all apps. A redesigned version of the popular Fastlane notifications centre from the latest Asha devices has also been implemented.
The entry-level Nokia X features a 4-inch IPS display with 512 MB of RAM and a 3 MP camera, while the X+ has similar features of the X with 768 MB of RAM and a bundled 4 GB microSD card. The XL features a 5-inch display with 768 MB of RAM, 5 MP + 2 MP camera (with autofocus and flash) and free 4 GB microSD card. The Nokia X and Nokia X+ weigh 128 grams while the XL weighs 190 grams.
The Nokia X will be shortly available in Asia Pacific, Europe, India, Latin America, Middle-east and Africa, while the Nokia X+ and Nokia XL will be available only from Q2 2014 onwards.
