IPL fixing: Supreme Court defers hearing to March 25
New Delhi: The Supreme Court of India on Friday deferred on IPL betting and spot-fixing scandal to March 25.
Earlier on the Friday morning, while filing an affidavit in the Supreme Court on the Mudgal Report. BCCI requested the Supreme Court not to reveal the contents of the sealed envelope submitted by the Mudgal committee
Mumbai Police in 2013 chargesheeted Gurunath Meiyappan in the IPL spot fixing scandal for criminal conspiracy, cheating and forgery. Apart from N.Srinivasan’s son-in-law, Bollywood actor Vindoo Dara Singh and 20 others have been accused for being involved in the match fixing.
During the police interrogation, Gurunath Meiyappan admitted his participation in ‘friendly betting.’ He said that he placed bets via Vindoo Dara Singh.
