Vashu Bhagnani to celebrate 25 movies as an independent producer
Vashu Bhagnani, one of the noted producers of Bollywood has achieved a milestone that very few have managed to acheive as independent producers. His next, 'Youngistan', starring his son Jackie Bhagnani and Neha Sharma will be the 25th movie his company, Puja Entertainment, will be rolling out on 28th March. To mark this silver jubilee of movies, the producer is throwing a big bash on 22nd March at a suburban hotel. However, Vashu has told his close friends that his celebrations have nothing to do with the commercial aspect of the movies. It’s an opportunity to catch up with all his colleagues of the industry whom he has met in the 20 years of movie business.
An insider revealed, “The first invites have gone to all the technicians of all his movies starting from 'Pyaar Kiya to Darna Kya' to 'Youngistan'. There are few people he hasn’t even met in the last 10 years and so he is really looking forward to meeting them. Also, the invites will be going to all the actors who have not only acted under his banner but also those who he knows personally.”
Some of the guests expected include Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Govinda, Abhishek Bachchan, R Madhavan, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Ajay Devgn, Kajol and many more. Anand-Milind, once the biggest names in the music industry and having composed hit tracks for this banner is expected to make an appearance.
As for his son Jackie, he is busy compiling footage of his dad’s journey and making a small short film on him. The other family members too will be preparing special speeches for the big day.
When contacted, Vashu Bhagani confirmed that he is throwing a bash to celebrate this milestone. He told Deccan Chronicle, “It’s the grace of God that an individual producer has made it so far and only a few have managed to do that. 'Youngistan' is my silver jubilee film and the party is to announce that I will be making another 25 movies in the next 10 years. I am looking forward to meet all the people who have made this possible for me.”
When asked about any special member who he would miss at the big bash, he said it would be late Farooq Sheikh who will be missed the most. “The man who taught my son the mannerisms of acting, it’s only the blessings of Farooq sahib. He will be missed the most.”
