Samsung Galaxy S4 price drops, creates gap for S5
While the buzz for the exact price tag on the Samsung Galaxy S5 is all around, the price for the Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 has already dropped by almost 25%, making way for the next flagship model to take the crown.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 was unveiled in Q1 last year and was priced at almost Rs 42,000 on the Samsung website. A month down the line the price dropped to Rs 40,500 with additional freebies with the unit. This month, almost a year after the S4 launch, the S5 is ready to receive a price tag in India, and the S4 is already seen on various websites and online stores with a 25% price drop.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is being sold online for a price of Rs 30,390 for a black variant, while the white variant is almost Rs 1,300 lower. On the other hand, Samsung’s own online e-store is still selling the same handset for Rs 40,690 (either colour variant).
The Samsung Galaxy S4 did not do well in the industry, though it has a good camera, eight-core hardware and the slimmest form factor.
Although, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is here to create some benchmarks, the HTC One M8 is already being a talk of the town with its powerful guts, strong chassis and excellent front-facing speakers.
