April 9th to witness heavy rush for filing of nominations

Hyderabad: April 9 is all set to witness a heavy rush for filing nominations across Telangana, not because it is the last day for filing nominations but because it is tagged as the “most auspicious day” by astrologers.
According to astrologers, April 9 is “auspicious” in many ways. First of all 9 is believed to be the luckiest of numbers.
Moreover, it is a Dasami, which too is considered to be auspicious. The day coincides with Punarvasu nakshatra, which happens to be the birth star of Lord Rama.
Astrologers say the combination of these three factors occurs only once in five to eight years.
“All these factors make April 9 highly auspicious to begin any new initiative. It would be lucky for politicians to file nominations on that day,” said Bhavani Shankar, city-based astrologer.
The time between 3 pm and 5 pm on April 9 is most auspicious due to the Simha lagnam.
In the city, former minister and Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagendar has decided to file his nomination papers on April 9 at 3 pm. His colleague and Goshamahal MLA Mukesh Goud, filed his nomination papers on April 4, but has decided to file his second set of papers on April 9, as per the advice given by his astrologers.
There is a long list of April 9-ers: Jubilee Hills MLA P. Vishnuvardhan Reddy (Congress), his sister P. Vijaya Reddy (YSRC), K. Vijaya Rama Rao (TD) and Manne Govardhan Reddy (TRS).
Bharatiya Janata Party leaders Venkat Reddy and Chintala Ramachandra Reddy have also pencilled in the auspicious day if they get the Khairatabad ticket as part of TD-BJP alliance.
