Hyderabad: TRS candidate from Chevella Lok Sabha seat, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, has declared that his family has assets worth over 528 crore. This probably makes him the richest politician in Telangana.
However, according to his affidavit, none of the family members own a personal car or other vehicles.
In an affidavit submitted to the EC, Mr Reddy has sworn that he has assets worth 528,62,30,210 in the form of cash, gold ornaments, shares in various firms and immovable property.
He declared that he holds assets worth 171,72,69,324, his wife Sangeetha Reddy, who is also the MD of Apollo Hospitals, has assets worth 243,27,40,262 and his three sons together hold assets worth 63,90,60,724.
He disclosed that a major part of his assets comprise shares in Apollo Hospitals. His family also has shares worth several crores of rupees in Andhra Petro, Andhra Sugars, Citadel Reserach and Solutions, Stephan Design and Engineering, Health Care (India) Ltd, Dr Reddy’s Labs, KAR Motors Ltd, KAR Auto Pvt Ltd, Citadel Agro Pvt Ltd, Adventure Trails India Pvt Ltd etc.
He also has 50 acres of agriculture land, residence and commercial buildings in Banjara Hills. His wife has gold and diamond ornaments worth 3 crore. He has loans from various banks and financial institutions worth 86 lakh, while his wife has loans of 6.56 crore.
Reddy’s father K. Madhava Reddy was Chief Justice of AP High court and his grandfather was noted freedom fighter and Telangana leader K.V. Ranga Reddy, on whose name Ranga Reddy district was named.
