Not like Narendra Modi who hid his wife, says in-love Digvijaya Singh
Mumbai: Social media has been abuzz with several photographs of Congress leader Digvijaya Singh and journalist Amrita Rai that suggest the duo are having an affair.
Two days after the photos went viral, Singh accepted the relationship, stating on Twitter that Rai had filed for divorce from her husband.
I have no hesitation in accepting my relationship with Amrita Rai. She and her husband have already filed a mutual consent divorce case.

Singh, however, berated the attempts to 'malign' him as an 'encroachment in his private life'.
Once that is decided we would formalise it. But I do condemn encroachment in our private life.

Singh's wife Asha passed away last year after prolonged illness. He has four daughters and a son from his marriage. Rai, said to be in her early 40s, also tweeted that she will marry Singh after divorce with her husband.
Amrita Rai's husband said the relationship between the couple had ended a long time back and that she was free to take her own independent decisions. "We have been separated for some time now and applied for the mutual consent divorce. Relationship between us has ended long back and Amrita is free to take any decision regarding her life and I will respect it," he posted on the facebook.
In a Facebook post, Anand Pradhan, who is a professor at Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) appealed to everyone to respect his privacy and wished his estranged wife a good life ahead.
Pradhan said, “Amrita is free to take any decision regarding her life after separating from me and I respect that. I wish her all the best for her life and future. I am going through a difficult phase in my life. Amrita and I have been living apart from some time now. We have applied for divorce with mutual consent. It is a legal procedure which takes its own time. But the relationship we once had ended long ago. I wish her well for her future. I know that my friends, well wishers and students are sad due to this but I also know that they are standing by me," the husband said.
Congress General Secretary Shakeel was asked about the issue at the party's media briefing but he said he was not aware of it. BJP, on the other hand, raised the question of morality and legality and asked Congress leadership to take cognizance.
