Medical report confirms actor Inder Kumar raped, tortured model

Mumbai: Actor Inder Kumar, who has been accused of raping a 23-year-old model, may have to face more jail time as medical reports confirm not only the rape, but also the torture charges.

Medical report suggests that the victim was burned with cigarettes, attacked with a beer bottle and tortured with a fork. She also had bite marks on her body.

A complaint had been lodged against Inder, citing that he had held the girl captive and abused her thrice over a month.

"I admit that I got intimate with her (the victim) as I was having problems with my wife but I never raped her," the actor has stated.

Inder's wife Pallavi Saraf earlier called in a press conference and said, "I agree my husband did a mistake but he never raped her. I won't let that girl to take advantage of the problems in our relationship and I will surely fight for my husband."

However, with medical reports supporting the victim's statement, the case has been strengthened further.

According to the police, Inder Kumar will be booked under sections 376 (Rape), 324 (causing grievous hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), based on the complaint made by the victim.
