Now, camping stove that has fire pit, grill and 'gadget charging port'
Washington: Biolite has created a new 'BaseCamp' camping stove that not only allows grilling but can also charge your gadgets while there is no charging station nearby.
This portable device harnesses the thermal energy of burning biomass from things like twigs, sticks, and pine cones to generate power for charging up phones, GPS devices, tablets and other similar equipments, CNET.com reported.
It can generate 5W of electricity which you can tap into via a USB and it can also throw in a USB light. Adding to its charm, the design gives out minimized smoke.
How it works: The BaseCamp converts heat from the fire into usable electricity via a thermoelectric generator housed within the orange power pack. This powers a fan that blows air back into the burn chamber for improved combustion. The surplus electricity is then sent to a USB port, allowing you to charge your devices.
BaseCamp costs around 299 dollars ( which translates into Rs 18000 approx)
