Met: Heat wave over coastal Andhra Pradesh
Temperatures have been soaring in Seemandhra with 45 degree Celsius
Hyderabad: Below normal rainfall has been predicted but UP, Bihar, Odisha and parts of Andhra Pradesh and Northeast India will receive normal rainfall. The seasonal rainfall is likely to be 95 per cent of the Long Period average with an error of plus or minus 5 per cent because of the El Nino effect.
Meanwhile temperatures have been soaring in Seemandhra with Ongole and Rentichintala touching 45ºC on Thursday.
A heat wave warning has been issued by the Met department for the next three days which would prevail over some parts in the districts of Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore of Coastal Andhra Pradesh on Friday and Saturday. Heat wave conditions prevailed in Coastal Andhra whereas isolated rain occurred over Telangana on Thursday.
