Chennai: In a casting coup of sorts, actor Prashanth has managed to convinced one of Bollywood’s hottest faces to shake a leg with him in his upcoming film Saahasam.
The actress who was last seen in Main Tera Hero is known to be very selective about her films and appearances. So how did Prashant manage to get her to be a part of his project?
“When my father approached her and narrated the elements of the song sequence, Nargis really liked what she heard. She’s a very sweet person and it was very nice of her to accept our offer to be in the film,” said Prashanth.
When pressed for details, Prashanth was reluctant to give too much away, but he claims that she will be seen in a never-before-seen avatar in the movie which will have lots of mass appeal.
Nargis is expected to join the crew by the third week of June for a seven day schedule. Though Thiagarajan, producer of the film, refused to talk about how much the Rockstar girl is charging, he admits that it is a hefty amount.
“The movie will mark her debut down south and we are sparing no effort to ensure the technical aspects of the song will be nothing short of perfect,” adds Thiagarajan.
Saahasam slated for release on August 15, 2014.
