Chandrababu Naidu invites PM Narendra Modi for swearing-in ceremony
New Delhi: Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu will sworn-in as Chief Minister of residuary Andhra Pradesh at 7.57 pm on June 8 and has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the ceremony.
During a meeting with Mr Modi on Friday, Mr Naidu invited him for the ceremony for which the Prime Minister “responded positively”.
The TD chief also invited all the Union ministers whom he met in Delhi on Friday for the swearing-in ceremony.

“I will take oath at 7.57 pm on June 8. I have invited the Prime Minister for the occasion. He has responded positively. I am hoping that he will be part of the function,” Mr Naidu told a press conference here.
However, it was not clear whether Mr Modi would participate in the ceremony.
Mr Naidu also said he would invite non-Congress Chief Ministers for the ceremony, but was non-commital when asked whether his Telangana counterpart K. Chandrasekhar Rao would be invited.
“Let us see as of now no,” he said when asked whether Mr Rao has been invited.
