Yograj Singh's younger son flies to US, to return with dad in first week of July
Mumbai: Yograj Singh, who like his son Yuvraj Singh, was diagnosed with cancer, will return to India in the first week of July.
Former fast bowler Yograj, who played one Test and six ODIs' for India, will return with his son, Victor.
Speaking exclusively over his mobile, Vicky (who prefers to be known as Vicky Yograj Singh) says, "I am leaving for USA on 9th June and will stay with my father in USA and we both will return in the first week of July."
Yograj's second wife Satveer Kaur (also known as Meena) has been in India to look after their two children (son and daughter) and Yograj, after being discharged from the hospital is staying with his sister-in-law's (Simran's) house in Madison Mississipi.
"The dad underwent surgery and is on his way to recovery. He is not required chemotherapy", the son added.
Yuvraj is believed to have had suggested the name of his doctor, Dr Lawrence H Einhorn for the treatment. "(But) well, I believe that doctor has retired and that he specializes in that specific cancer. Therefore my dad, instead of going to Indianapolis, took treatment in New York ", Victor added.
Yuvraj's cancer was better labelled as mediastinal seminoma.
Yuvraj and Vicky, the two brothers of two different mothers, are in regular contact with each other. "Yes, I am in touch with him (Yuvraj), who was also well supported by our dad (during his difficult time)", added Vicky.
"I don't play any games professionally but for a hobby I play basketball", said Vicky.
"My dad is a very strong man and he will surely come out from the nightmare", he signed off.
