Hyderabad: Parents of at least 11 engineering students missing in the River Beas returned to Hyderabad from Himachal Pradesh on Monday. The families were assured by the HP authorities that the bodies of their wards would be sent to Hyderabad after they were retrieved from the river. Five families are still in Himachal.
Meanwhile, the Himachal government has issued death certificates and missing certificates to the families of the students who were washed away along with a copy of the FIR.
Earlier in the day, there was some tension on the Bachupally campus of Vignana Jyothi as human right activists demanded action against the college management.
