Watch how the iPhone 6 will run on Apple’s iOS 8
Tom Rich, has put up a video on YouTube which explains and demonstrates how the next version of Apple’s operating system, the iOS 8, will look and run on the most awaited iPhone 6.
The video below shows the iPhone 6, installed with the developer preview of iOS 8. The video also shows the iPhone 6 compared alongside the iPhone 5S and the iPod. An HTC One (M8) and a Samsung Galaxy S5 was also shown to compare the form factor. Watch the video and read ahead.
Here are some facts of the video. The iPhone 6 shown in the video is not real. It is a dummy phone to represent the 4.7-inch iPhone 6. The display running on the alleged iPhone 6 is also not real. The video was superimposed using a chroma key screen. If you look carefully in the video, you will notice a red dot on the home button. It is used as a tracker to keep the video stabilised and in sync with the device in his hand.
Another point which cannot go unnoticed is the fact that the rear panel of the iPhone 6 does not have the Apple logo. Lastly, check out the video at 1:51. You will clearly see that the iOS 8 developer preview video has been recorded from an iPod, which is shown on the top left corner. You will also find that the iPhone shown in his hand is automatically typing a message on the display.
In all, the video demonstration is great, editing is amazing and it can definitely fool anyone. However, the video is not made to show the iPhone 6, but just to give a slight demo on how the iOS 8 will seem on a large-screen iPhone device.
The iPhone 6 is one of the most awaited smartphone from Apple and there are several rumours and information leaks about the speculated device around the web. Apple is tight-lipped about the iPhone 6 with absolutely no information about if the device is made or how it even looks. The rumour mill also states that the iPhone 6 will come in more than one variant—screen sizes will differ.
The final information will be out only when Apple decides to unveil the device, which is speculated to be shown to the world this September.
