When Abhishek Bachchan called Shah Rukh to cancel his flight

Mumbai: That Abhishek Bachchan is a doting father is well known and recently he gave us one more reason to believe that.

A unit member from the sets of Happy New Year was overheard narrating an incident about how Abhishek had to cancel his flight to Dubai because his daughter Aaradhya wouldn’t let go of him.

A source told Deccan Chronicle, " This was for the Dubai schedule of Happy New Year and Abhishek had to leave in the morning, for which the tickets were already booked. He packed his bags and when he was about to leave, Aaradhya told him to not go as she wanted him to stay home. A tough choice to make, he rang Shah Rukh and told him that he will take the next flight in the afternoon. He told him that Aaradhya isn't letting her go and asked if its ok if he can come later in the day. A couple of hours later, a similar thing happend when he was about to step out of the door, the daughter asked him to stay back. Abhishek went ahead and cancelled the second flight as well."

Abhishek again gave a call to Shah Rukh and explained to him. Shah Rukh, who himself goes all out to spend time with his kids told AB jr that he completely understands the terrible feeling of 'leaving your kid and going to work' and told him to not worry about the shoot.

After cancelling three flights, Shah Rukh's production house booked the last flight out in the evening and Abhishek finally left the city to shoot for the film only after assuring the daughter that he will be back soon.
