Jessie re-incarnated?
Trisha opens up on working with Ajith her upcoming projects
Chennai:She might not have had a 2014 release so far, but Trisha is raving to prove that she’s still the undisputed numero-uno leading lady in the industry. And looking at her upcoming biggies this year Bhooloham with Jayam Ravi, and Thala 55 with Ajith, it’s safe to place your bets on the much-loved actress.
There’s excitement over the chemistry Trisha shares with her co-stars, there’s more hype surrounding her reunion with director Gautham Menon for Thala 55, after her immortal role of Jessie in VTV and Trisha agrees she’s excited too, “I share an amazing comfort level with Gautham, and work very well with him I trust him absolutely totally imitate whatever he says. Just like Jessie was so unique, my character in this flick too will be quite special, I’d like to think.”
What does she have to say about Thala? “It’s an action thriller, but my track with Ajith is an extremely intense, romantic segment. It’s my fourth film with Ajith and man, he looks great it’s very reminiscent of the time I did Kireedam with him, all those years ago. I’m telling you, he’s been doing all these mass commercial films of late, but we’ll be getting to see him in a radical new avatar that I love. I’m shooting for a song right now with him, as we speak!” she gushes.
Trisha adds, “I’ve been taking it a bit slow, I’ll admit. My Kannada film Power will release next, after which I’ll look to sign a couple more Tamil projects.”
Outside films though, she has been busy expanding her social media status, “Yep, I started my new Facebook fan page! Look, I’ve been quite an active person online, but I realised that Twitter and Facebook have two very different set of users. I’ve had a FB profile for ages, but then figured it would be fun to start interacting with fans as well it’s definitely more personal and helps me connect with them better. I’m the admin of the page and personally post updates.”
And of course, her personal life is always a favourite topic to approach Trisha’s Instagram is flooded with posts of a ‘special someone’ sending her everything from Hyderabad biryani to Krispy Kreme donuts! “Hahaha, okay first of all, those were two different people. I got a major craving for donuts, but it would be really tough for me to walk into EA and shop for them, so a friend was nice enough to do the needful. As for the biryani ... well, all I can say that it was a really sweet platonic friend who ensured I had a terrific Eid indeed,” Trisha laughs.
