Dhanush climbing up the ‘mass’ ladder
Huge offers are calling for the remake rights of Velai Illa Pattadhari in Bollywood
Chennai:After a few lacklustre films, Dhanush has bounced back with Velai Illa Pattadhari, which has not only set box-office collections ringing, but also garnered critical acclaim. Unsurprisingly, huge offers are calling for the remake rights of VIP in Bollywood, but the Kolaveri Di singer is apparently not keen to sell.
Having already made a mark in B’town already with his stellar performance in Raanjhanaa and presently working for his second movie Shamitabh, the lanky star may want to recreate the VIP magic in Hindi himself!
The film was produced under his own banner with Dhanush’s favourite cinematographer Velraj wielding the megaphone for the first time. VIP, being a mass hero subject with a punch line-a-minute that audiences loved, already set rumour mills rolling that Dhanush reminded everyone of father-in-law Superstar Rajinikanth! Is this an attempt by him now to compete with numero unos like Salman Khan, Akshay or King Khan up North? Only time will only tell.
