Flashback: Colourful and musical trailer of Farah Khan’s earlier films
Mumbai: While we are few hours away from the trailer launch of one of the biggest films this year, ‘Happy New Year’, we take a look at the theatrical promo of Farah Khan’s earlier films. As a director, she made a debut with 'Main Hoon Na', a blockbuster, followed by 'Om Shanti Om', another blockbuster and 'Tees Maar Khan', which had a dismal run.
However, one common factor in the trailer of all her films is the packaging. She puts everything in it, dance, romance, sad scenes, comedy, thrills with catchy background music that takes people to the edge of their seats.

In 'Om Shanti Om', she went back to the golden era of cinema, her favourite zone and splashed all the colours of that era on big screen with Shah Rukh and Deepika as the leading pair. The trailer of 'Om Shanti Om' took the expectations of the film to a new high with some of the dialouges still fresh in our minds. Remember this line? 'Kehte hain ki ...... Agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaaho to puri kayanat usey tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai.'
In 'Tees Maar Khan' she made Katrina Kaif look desirable and made ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ an anthem wherever dancing was involved. Akshay Kumar presented in lines like ‘ Tawaif ki luti izzat bachaana... aur Tees Maar Khan ko kaid karna, bekaar hai,’. The promo again, was a hit however it wasn’t the same regarding the films outcome. But still, in all her films, she has done and had her heart at the right place, which is, ‘ entertain the masses' and not just cater to few.
