Telangana survey not related to nativity, asserts KCR
CM termed it as a social and economic survey
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao tried to calm down fears relating to the survey.
“The survey has nothing to do with nativity or identifying Seemandhra people. It’s only a misconception being created by some vested interests. It’s only a social and economic survey.
The survey was necessitated because of inefficient governments that ruled the undivided state and which issued more ration cards, houses, pensions etc. than the entire population.
Now, we want to exactly know the social and economic status of each and every household so that we can plan schemes effectively for their benefit and weed out bogus beneficiaries. What’s wrong in this?” asked Mr Rao.
