Lashkar-e-Tayyaba terrorists spotted with Pakistan troops along LoC

As per Pak media reports, there have been 5 casualties & 16 injuries on their side

New Delhi: In a first clear indication that the Pakistani forces are working hand-in-glove with Lashkar-e-Tayyaba terrorists, the BSF has spotted armed militants dressed in civilian clothes moving along with the Pakistani troops which have escalated ceasefire violations and indulged in unprovoked firing in the last few days.

The modus operandi is to push terrorists across the border into J&K by keeping the Indian troops engaged in retaliatory action, top BSF officials have said.

Throwing up evidence of involvement of terror groups being aided and shielded by the Pakistani forces, the BSF said it has gunned down at least two suspected LeT terrorists in retaliatory action in the last few days. On three more occasions, terrorists have been spotted moving close to the international border.

The gunning down on suspected LeT terrorists comes as evidence of the involvement of terror outfits who are getting the support and cover of Pakistani troops to fuel violence. Director general of the BSF D.K. Pathak said that despite their repeated requests for holding flag meetings with Pak Rangers has “not been responded to” till now by their counterparts.

“We have sent a number of ‘protest notes’ to the Rangers over these firings. The last one was sent last night,” the DG said. Mr Pathak said as many as 25 BSF posts are under intense firing of Pakistani forces and the series of these violations began on August 16, a day after Independence Day celebrations in the country.

“According to reports in Pakistan media, there have been 5 casualties and 16 injuries on the other side after we retaliated the firing,” Mr Pathak said. On the Indian side, there have been two civilian casualties. Mr Pathak said that the force has received instructions from the MHA that there should be “retaliatory action” and a “befitting reply” will be given to the Pakistani forces.
