Arjun Kapoor jokes of being cast as he has driver’s licence

Hyderabad: The cast and crew of Finding Fanny visited the Deccan Chronicle office as part of an online contest organised by DC and Finding Fanny. Sitting next to Deepika, Arjun joked that he was cast because he was the only one with a valid driver’s licence. “I just had to drive this car the entire film,” said the actor, who plays a mechanic in the movie.

“But on the last day of the shoot, I was upset because I too had a great time shooting in Goa,” he added For Homi, this is his third Bollywood movie and the second with Deepika Padukone after the 2012 hit film Cocktail.

“I’ve had this script in my mind for several years now and Deepika was a big factor behind me finally deciding to do this movie,” he said. About Goa, the director explained how several villages were brought together to portray the fictional village of Pocolim. “Deepika's house in the movie is in a different village while Arjun’s house is in North Goa. We had to bring all the shots together later,” he said.

The film is also shot in English and will release on September 12.
