Telangana State to tighten laws for women safety

Hyderabad: Telangana state government is keen to strengthen laws to ensure safety and security of the girls and women. A high-level committee, headed by principal secretary to government (agriculture and cooperation department) Poonam Malakondaiah, met here on Wednesday and discussed the issue.

She said the main aim is to review existing laws, further strengthen the laws if required, ensure quick justice to victims and ensure that victims come forward to lodge complaints without fear.”
