YSR Congress smells land game in Telugu Desam capital
Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao reprimanded Leader of Opposition Jagan Mohan Reddy
Hyderabad:Following the protest of the YSRC members on the Assembly demanding discussion on the capital issue, Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao reprimanded Leader of Opposition Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“You are getting prejudiced. You can’t dictate the agenda, you can only take part in the discussion. There are two methods, the government can make a statement and then a discussion can be taken up or vice-versa,” the Speaker said adding, “It is the prerogative of the government. Also, there are instances when changes were made in the statement based on the merits of the discussion.”
Labour minister K. Atchannaidu said that the CM would make a statement on the issue in the Assembly on Thursday and copies of the Capital Committee report would also be tabled in the House. The YSRC alleged that the TD was playing a real estate game and Mr Naidu was ignoring the Sivaramakrishnan report as he wanted the capital to be in a place where TD leaders had invested in lands.
“The Committee has toured nooks and corners of the state and has spoken to all stakeholders. How can the government ignore it,” said YSRC member Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy.
