NTR Junior’s film is on
Representatives from actor’s new film fight off ‘delay’ rumours
Hyderabad: NTR Jr, whose career has not been going anywhere for some time now, is still not out of the woods. Sources say that the actor is being targeted by some people who are spreading rumours.
“Shooting of the NTR Jr and Puri Jagannadh film has stopped. The film may not take place at all,” goes the rumour.
The film, produced by Bandla Ganesh, was launched some time ago and shooting too had started. Director Puri Jagannadh, who is known to finish his projects fast, had announced that the film would hit the screens on January 9 next year. But the second schedule of the film, which was supposed to start a couple of days ago, was delayed for undisclosed reasons. But the representatives from the movie have however, issued a clarification, denying the rumour.
“The story of this film resembles the one from another movie starring Nandamuri Kalyanram, which is also under production. Both subjects are about a cop and NTR Jr noticed it and that’s why he wanted to stop shooting,” claims a source.
Producer Bandla Ganesh, meanwhile is busy with the Ram Charan-starrer Govindudu Andari Vadele, which is due for an October 1 release. Also, a press release sent by the film’s PR team on Thursday evening stated that the film’s shooting would resume from September 10.
“NTR Jr is playing a police officer in the film and the film will indeed be ready for Sankranthi next year,” says the release.
NTR Jr’s latest, Rabhasa received mixed responses and makers are laying low with not a word spoken about the film after its release. “Usually after the release of every film, the producer holds a media conference or a promotional event to boost the revenues. But for Rabhasa, not a single promotional event was held by the makers,” says the source.
