'We must not deprive our children of technology', says Narendra Modi
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday stressed on the importance of technology, saying depriving the children of technology is a crime.
"Importance of technology is increasing every day. We must not deprive our children of technology. It is a social crime if we do so," he said while addressing the students and teachers across the country on the occasion of Teacher's Day.
The Prime Minister also emphasized on the need for physical activity, saying that besides watching television and working on computers the children should engage themselves in physical activity.
"Technology is important but this is the age of physical activity. There is a world beyond TV and computers. Will you be active?" he asked the students.
Prime Minister Modi further said the students must read biographies.
"It brings you closer to history and increases our ability to understand the truth," he said.
