TRS, Congress focus on Medak
KARIMNAGAR: The elected representatives and activists of the TRS and Congress, belonging to Karimnagar, are busy in campaigning for their party candidates contesting the repoll of Medak Parliamentary constituency, as the district shares its borders with Medak.
Finance and civil supplies minister Etela Rajendar, TRS legislators Gangula Kamakar (Karimnagar Assembly constituency), Koppula Eshwar (Dharmapuri), Karimnagar municipal corporation mayor S. Ravinder Singh and a few other corporators have been trying hard to improve the prospects of their party’s nominees contesting for Medak MP seat.
In the Congress camp, MLC Santosh Kumar, former civil supplies minister D. Sridhar Babu
and former MLA from Manakondur Arepalli Mohan are sweating it out to help their candidate to register victory in the elections. The leaders have been conducting door-to-door campaigning and pleading voters to exercise their franchise in their party’s favour.
“Most of the voters are matured. They are voluntarily expressing interest to vote for the TRS. Campaigning out of one’s native constituency is really a memorable experience,” he said, adding that he had covered the entire Siddipet town.
Many of senior leaders of both parties were told to oversee the polls.
TRS leader Etela Rajendar was made the in-charge of Siddipet Assembly constituency while Karimnagar MP B. Vinod Kumar is supervising campaigning in Sangareddy Assembly segment.
At times, the Congress and TRS leaders are crossing each other during campaigning in various localities.
However, no heated arguments or clashes were reported between the activists of the parties so far. Instead, it was observed that a few leaders were even exchanging pleasantries.
