New Delhi: The interrogation of arrested Indian Mujahideen (IM) tech expert Ajaz Shaikh has revealed that his next destination was Delhi, indicating that a possible strike during the upcoming festive season was being planned, sources said.

That is the reason he de-boarded at Saharanpur to stay for a day there before leaving for Delhi. Before reaching Saharanpur he made stopovers at Luck-now and Moradabad as well.” Investigating officials are trying to find out how many days he stayed and who he met in these two cities.

A senior police officer claimed Shaikh was scheduled to meet a sleeper cell in the national capital in the coming week. Sources added that Shaikh has reportedly confessed to receiving the explosives used in the 2010 Pune German Bakery blast.
