Aadhaar link to pattadar books a must
District authorities plan to set up mobile Aadhaar centres
Ongole: The district administration on Wednesday made it clear that the farmers, whose pattadar passbooks are linked to Aadhaar proof, will get benefit under the loan waiver scheme announced by the government and urged the farmers to link their pattadar passbooks to Aadhaar proof. District collector G.S.R.K.R. Vijay Kumar, on Wednesday addressed a meeting held in the collectorate and said that so far 50 per cent of the pattadar passbooks were linked to the Aadhaar cards in the district.
He directed the officials to speed up the Aadhaar linking to pattadar passbooks. He expressed ire over the officials for delay in executing the work and warned that he would take stern action against the officials, if they fail to seed the pattadar passbooks to Aadhaar cards within two days. Mr Vijay Kumar said that so far 96 per cent of the Aadhaar cards were linked to ration cards.
The land distributed in Kothapatnam mandal to SC, ST beneficiaries, were encroached by other people. He directed the revenue officials to submit details of lands belonging to the SC, STs that were encroached to the police for taking appropriate action. District revenue officer G. Gangadhar Gowd, Kandukur sub-collector, A. Mallikarjuna, Ongole RDO M.S. Murali was among those participated in the meeting. Meanwhile, the district administration is planning to set up mobile Aadhaar centres to issue Aadhaar cards to all the families in the district, before December this year.
