No loss is first priority: CM Chandrababu Naidu
Hyderabad: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that all precautionary measures have been taken to ensure there are absolutely no loss to life or property in view of Hudhud cyclone. Mr Naidu held video conference with district collectors on Saturday and said people should be evacuated on time and ensure food is available at relief camps, milk for kids and medications at relief camps along with essentials.
Speaking to the media soon after, Mr Naidu said for the first time latest technology with remote sensing satellite mapping was being used for different models of forecasting. He said that the government will encourage people to help through crowd sourcing which will make real time data available to the government. He said that the government will acknowledge data obtain-ed from the people and incorporate it into the government data and give feedback on measures taken by the government. Mr Naidu said that the government was monitoring the situation every minute.
He said that for the first time the Centre was also closely monitoring the Hudhud cyclone. He said that he had previous experience of dealing with cyclones effectively and said in 1997 he had successfully faced the Hurricane cyclone. CM Naidu informed that according to the latest reports Hudhud cyclone will hit any place between Srikakulam to East Godavari district but the exact place will be known only by Sunday afternoon.
