Hudhud: Modi calls up CM Chandrababu Naidu, assures aid
PM praised the state govt for the precautionary measures
Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while promising every help required to Andhra Pradesh in the wake of Cyclone Hudhud, praised the state government for the precautionary measures it took to minimise the loss of life and property.
AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday received a phone call from the Prime Minister while he was briefing the media. Mr Naidu told the PM that the Cyclone Hudhud had crossed the coast but it will take four hours for the cyclone to pass.
He added they had lost connection with the radar at Visakhapatnam and the state officials were still analysing the damages. He thanked the Prime Minister and said that the Government of India has done extremely well in monitoring the Cyclone Hudhud situation. Mr Naidu also informed Mr Modi that he will be stationed at Visakhapatnam for two-three days till normalcy is restored.
