All you need to know about Google Android 5.0 Lollipop
Google has unveiled its new upgraded Android 5.0 version-Lollipop. It seems like the tech giant has decided to continue its traditional dessert naming pattern of operating systems like Jelly Bean, KitKat, Ice Cream Sandwich, which is now followed up by another dessert name ‘Lollipop’
Google stated that 5,000 new APIs will be available on Lollipop. Google Lollipop works on smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and TV screens, which ensures that you can switch from one screen to another. The upgraded 5.0 version of Lollipop can show notifications directly from the lockscreen on your device. The tech giant also highlighted ,’The songs, photos, apps, and recent web searches from one of your Android devices can be immediately enjoyed across all of your Android devices.’
You can even turn on the Priority mode by using the volume button of your smartphone/tablet. This in turn will enable your device to receive notifications from only certain people. Lollipop 5.0 users will be able to schedule recurring downtime like 10 pm to 8 am.
The visual elements on Google’s Material design features detailed visual elements, which enables easier navigation on your device. Google has also added multiple user accounts and guest user to the Lollipop. This security feature helps in better backups and data security. Lollipop users will also be able to secure their smartphone/tablet with the improvised password pattern.
Android 5.0 version of Lollipop can ensure a much better security, as it helps one in pairing the smartphone/tablet to your watch or car, using the Smart Lock feature. As soon as you plug in your charger to your smartphone/tablet, you will be notified about the estimated time left to charge your device up to 100%. The company also claims that the battery saver feature can extend the battery life of devices up to 90 minutes.
