THRISSUR: The 10th edition of the Thrissur motor show, rated as South India’s largest auto show, started at Thekkinkad Maidan with the theme ‘Clean Thrissur, Green Thrissur’ on Thursday.
With keenly-fought competitions and trendy events, the fair organised by the mechanical engineering department of Government Engineering College students, showcases an array of both luxury and vintage beauties with a number of modified cars and superbikes thrown in to spice things up.
Over the years, the motor show has introduced Thrissurians to the latest supercars as well as vintage ones. The supercars this time include Nissan 350Z and Audi R8 which share the limelight with those of yore like Austin A40 and the 1952 Plymouth. For the bike enthusiasts, there are the Aprilia RS and Triumph motorcycles.
There will be thrilling action with the Harley rally, a contest for crowning the most imperious Harley Davidson motorbike on display.
