DC 'Clean drive' contest: Pick up the broom, contribute to a cleaner India
Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently launched the 'Swachh Bharat' campaign on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The idea was to follow in the footsteps of the father of the nation, in keeping a clean mind and soul along with a clean and healthy environment.
Often we complain about the dirt on our roads, the garbage littered on street corners, and other sights and smells that remind us of how we are living in a dirty environment.
Seldom do we take intiatives to clear the filth around us. It is not impossible, we can take matters in our own hand. Take a broom, a shovel, a dustbin and start an attack against an unclean, unhealthy environment.
Recently, the PM praised the media for spreading awareness about his “Clean India” campaign, he said that the media has turned its “pen into broom” and this has become a driving force behind the campaign.
At Deccan Chronicle we are organising the 'Clean Drive' contest. A contest that is aimed at keeping our environment clean.
