Dinanath Batra targets foreign universities in new book
Indian culture is under attack from foreign universities
New Delhi: Controversial educationist Dinanath Batra, who will unveil another book Bhartiya Shiksha Ka Swaroop, has stressed the need for an “Indianised education system” and feels that “Indian culture is under attack from foreign universities.”
In this book, he says that education should be closely linked to character-building and “there is urgent need for greater emphasis on moral education in schools and colleges.”
In his book, to be released by Union minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday, the authoritries to touch on several aspects of Ind-ia’s education system and suggests some fundamental changes. He underlines the threats posed by the entry of foreign universities in India.
“Western culture in our education system will make our youth forget our cultural heritage, and will be completely Westernised. A country which forgets its own culture also loses its vibrancy,” he said.
