Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5 likely to launch in India on January 6
Samsung’s recently launched Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 handsets may arrive in the Indian market on January 6, 2015. The company claimed that these handsets come in the ultra slim handset category. Launching two slim handsets may confuse you on picking up the right Samsung device. Here’s a comparison between the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5
Display, body and thickness:
Samsung Galaxy A3 sports a 4.5-inch (540 x 960 pixels) qHD display, whereas, the Galaxy A5 comes with a 5.0-inch (720 x 1280 pixels) HD touch screen display. The Galaxy A3 and A5 carry a pixel density of 245 ppi and 294 ppi resplectively. The thickness of Galaxy A3 measures around 6.9mm and weighs around 110.3 grams. On the other hand, Galaxy A5 is more heavier i.e 123 grams and measures a thickness of 6.7mm.
A3 is equipped with 1GB of RAM and A5 comes loaded with 2GB of RAM. Both these handsets sport a Super AMOLED screen, are powered by 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor and run on Android 4.4 KitKat OS. The onboard memory offered by Galaxy A3 as well as Galaxy A5 is 16GB, which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD.
Camera:
Samsung’s new A-series handsets feature a 5MP front camera. However, the megapixels of A3 and A5 rear camera differs from each other. The A3 handset comes with an 8MP AF camera with LED Flash feature on its rear side. Whereas, the A5 sports a 13MP AF rear camera.
The camera of both these devices feature Wide Selfie, Palm Selfie, Animated GIF, Beauty Face Features, and Rear-cam Selfie, let users capture attractive selfies in high resolution by automatically detecting and focusing on a person’s face.
Users are also able to quickly and easily share photos or videos on their favorite social media channels with the device’s fast network speed of LTE Category 4 standard.
Battery:
Samsung has fuelled its Galaxy A3 device with 1,900mAh battery and the A5 handset with 2,300mAh battery. The Galaxy A5 and A3 also include similar features like Ultra-Power Saving Mode, Private Mode and Multiscreen.
