Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan, who is currently on a multi-city tour as part of his film Happy New Year’s post-release promotions, will return to his home in Mumbai, in time to ring in his birthday on November 2. And making sure it is a big bash, is wifey Gauri Khan.
Gauri, we were told has been actively planning the big day and sending out messages to close friends and family for a party on November 1 to bring in his birthday. She has carefully designed the menu that is a mix of Indian and continental dishes and not to forget, Shah Rukh’s favourite grilled chicken.
A guest, who is attending the do, told us, “We got a message from Gauri about this party. It’s always exciting to visit Mannat because of the gracious hosts that the two are. Shah Rukh dancing is always the highlight of the party.”
Another friend of the actor revealed, “He is coming back to Mumbai on November 1 and has a few meetings lined up, after which he will get ready for the party. The close people who matter to the Khan family are more than happy to be part of this special celebration.”
The guest list so far includes Abhishek and Aishwariya Rai Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar, Adhuna Akhtar, Sanjay Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Chunkey Pandey, Bhavna Pandey, Ritesh Sidhwani, Deepika, Sonu Sood, Farah Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah, Mallaika Arora, Neelam Kothari and Sameer Soni among others.
