New Delhi: With the induction of playback singer Babul Supriyo, the BJP MP from Asansol, in the Union government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chief Amit Shah have made their first key move to emerge as a major player in Left and Trinamul dominated West Bengal.
On Monday, BJP secretary and West Bengal in-charge Siddharth Nath Singh will launch a big membership drive in West Bengal and hold a core committee meeting to prepare for civic body polls due in January next year.
Politically, West Bengal is emerging as a crucial state for the BJP, where it has begun to scent power in the future.
