Don't believe in luck, I am a self-made man: Siddharth
Chennai: Actor Siddharth, who has starred in a number of Bollywood and Tamil films, says he is a self-made man. "I don't believe in luck. I'm a self-made man, be it being an actor, or a producer of a singer. None of my family members where in this (field) before me. So, everything that I am right now is because I wanted it," Siddharth said at a promotional event for Gillette's Mach 3 razor here.
The actor, introduced in Mani Ratnam's Tamil film 'Kannathil Muthamittal' in 2002 and has had a successful run since then. "I have always tried to be in the right place at the right time. You never know when is the right time, so you have to be prepared all the time. You never know when the opportunity is going to come. It could be in the airport, it could be anywhere. You have to be ready," he said.
Asked about how he maintains his boy-next-door image despite being in the mid 30s, Siddharth said, "I don't have the habit of sporting a beard and I prefer to be clean-shaven since childhood. I believe it helps to look your best and be the sharpest and be admired when you are clean-shaven."
The actor was accompanied by 'Heropanti' star Kriti Sanon.
