Six urban nodes to boost IT
Hyderabad: Six urban development nodes will come up in AP to boost industrial and IT growth. They will be located at Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry Anantapur, Tirupati and Nellore.
According to AP IT secretary Kona Shashidhar, dubbed the ‘Sunrise State’, has readymade infrastructure.
Apart from the proposed ITIRs in Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Anantapur, the mega electronic hub at Vishakapatnam and an electronic hardware park in Kakinada will be part of the nodes.
The state has five million sq. ft of built-up space, and another 1 million square feet will be available in the Signature Tower. Electronic bazaars at Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati, all of which also will be part of the urban nodes.
Visakhapatnam has an 152-acre IT layout at Madhurawada, 50-acre IT layout at Ghambeerapuram, a software technology park, incubation centre at VSEZ and an 50,000 sq. ft IT Incubation Tower at Madhurawada. Kakinada has a 25-acre IT SEZ at Sarpavaram, 7,000 sq. ft STPI incubation centre.
In Vijayawada, a 2.5 lakh-sq ft APIIC-L&T IT SEZ, 5,000 sqft STPI incubation centre, 10,000 sq. ft incubation centre and 15,000 sq. ft incubation centre in Tirupati are showcased to the foreign companies.
