Pakistan claims Mullah Fazlullah killed at Afghan border
Islamabad: Pakistani forces, with the help of Isaf, killed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan chief Mullah Fazlullah, ministry of defence said in a series of tweets on Saturday. According to the tweets, Fazlullah. who planned various major terror acts including the Tuesday’s massacre in a Peshawar army-run school, was killed on Friday night inside Afghanistan along the border with Pakistan.
Ministry of Defence said TTP chief Fazlullah was taken out by Pakistani Air Force jets after the killing.Officials said intelligence sharing enabled the forces to target the most wanted man who allegedly ordered ex-premier Benazir Bhutto’s assassination and attempt to kill Malala Yousafzai.
The first reports of Fazlullah’s death came over Facebook and Twitter from Pakistan’s Ministry of Defence’s official accounts. There was no word yet from the military on Fazlullah’s killing but they did say some top commanders of TTP were killed.
