Bengaluru blast: Woman who died was on vacation with family
Bengaluru: A fun-filled family trip turned tragic for the family of Bhavani Devi (38) after a low-intensity explosion claimed her life on Church Street on Sunday night. Bhavani, wife of Balan Kumar, is survived by her husband and two daughters.
She was a resident of Mount Road in Chennai and had come to the city four days ago to celebrate Christmas with her family. She was heading towards Hotel Empire for dinner after visiting Amoeba Bowling Alley when she was hit by the blast.

She was rushed to Mallya Hospital where died at 10.50 pm. “When the patient was brought in she was gasping. She had an injury on the left side of the skull and the brain tissue had come out. We tried to resuscitate her for one-and-a-half hours, but could not save the patient,” hospital authorities said.

Meanwhile, another victim, Karthik who was also admitted to the hospital is out of danger. “Karthik has an injury on the upper back and has some foreign material wedged in the upper back.
