Mr Cricket Michael Hussey to coach Team India?
Mumbai: Retired from Test cricket, MS Dhoni has suggested BCCI to appoint Michael Hussey as Team India coach following the departure of Duncan Fletcher, according to reports.
Fletcher's tenure comes to an end after the 2015 World Cup to be played in Australia and New Zealand. If the Zimbabwean’s record is anything to go by, the BCCI are unlikely to extend his contract as Indian team's coach.
Michael Hussey, who has played alongside MS Dhoni at Chennai Super Kings (CSK), had a stellar cricketing career across all formats of the game. Known as Mr Cricket, Michael Hussey is lauded as a team player. According to reports, Dhoni, who captained Hussey at CSK, is impressed with Michael Hussey's attitude.
India’s 2011 World Cup winning skipper feels that he (Hussey) is the right man to coach India after Fletcher resigns as India’s coach, said reports.
However, the Australian said "I'm not sure if I'm really ready for that sort of challenge. Thanks, M.S., if it's true . . . but, I'm still playing!", reported The Sydney Morning Herald.
