BENGALURU: BJP National President Amit Shah has said that his party was exploring all possible options to form a government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing media persons here on Saturday, Mr Shah said that uncertainty was prevailing over the formation of new government in the valley state.
While responding to a question about BJP’s move to join hands with Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) led by Mehbooba Mufti, Mr Shah said his party was exploring all options.
He also hinted that BJP has not dropped talks with National Conference party chief Omar Abdullah.
While responding to a question on ‘Ghar Wapsi’, being carried out by RSS, Mr Shah said the government has nothing to do with the programme.
However, Mr Shah asserted that BJP was against forceful conversions and favours a legislation in this regard. “BJP wanted to bring in legislation, but the so called secular parties have opposed it,” Mr Shah remarked.
About the question of CBI court giving him a clean chit in Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case, Mr Shah said that his case was coordinated by the court under the Supreme Court direction. “I have nothing to say on my acquittal, my party and lawyer will comment on it,” Mr Shah said.
